are very pleased to announce that TV FAN Company has published
"Japanese Names for Babies." Mrs. Aiko N. Uwate's original book
from 1982 was used and updated to create this second edition. Names change
as times pass. Furthermore, certain names gain popularity while others
become archaic. To reflect the recent times, this book has been revised
and is a great resource to find names and their meanings easily. Moreover,
several pages have been added to explain cultural events such as
Children's Day and Girl's Day. By publishing this book, we hope to help
those who are interested in learning about the Japanese culture and help
Japanese Americans identify themselves as being Japanese and pass on their
culture to future generations.
